Day 31 of my online food and exercise journal!!!
So here I am writing my last day of my food and exercise journal for the month of January. It really helped me to stay on track and make smarter food choices. There is something to be said for accountability! I've really enjoyed having you all get involved by posting comments and blogging as well! It was delightful that some of you have said that you read my blog religiously! I always wonder who looks at my site and hope that it serves as a guide for many people in improving their lifestyle choices. I want you to take something valuable from my website and apply it to your own life! There are SOOOOO many yummy and healthy options out there for all of us: celiacs, diabetics, lactose-intolerants, vegans, meat eaters, raw food eaters, and everyone else in between. It is my absolute pleasure to share tips with you and learn from you all as well!
8:30 am: I had an Isagenix shake and made it with unsweetened chocolate almond milk this time. It was so delicious!
10:00 am: Mission Possible™ in Santa Monica began and we focused on extra core work today. Tomorrow is the SUPER MISSION on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY and I made sure that everyone was tapering for the daunting task of climbing 26+ sets of stairs! We did some mat Pilates and upper body work with hand weights. It felt amazing!
11:20 am: I ate an Isagenix meal replacement bar (yogurt dipped oatmeal raisin) on my way to Muay Thai fighting class. This bar is great for a post-workout snack because it has 17 grams of whey protein.
12 noon: The all girls fighting class started with jumping rope in 3 minute segments, with lunges and pushups in between each segment. We put on our gloves and pads and paired up and we took turns punching and kicking each other.
2:30 pm: I had another Isagenix shake (with an extra scoop of protein powder) and enjoyed it in the car on my way to train a client. I love having a shake right after training hard because it gives me the perfect ration of carbs and protein to refuel my body.
5:30 pm: I had some yellow baby carrots and 2 tablespoons of hummus and a 100 calorie bag of WONDERFUL™ Pistachios for a late afternoon snack. I had dinner plans at M CAFE with a friend at around 8 pm so I wanted to get some food in my stomach before I got to the point of being ravenous.
8:15 pm: I had the deli combo of the lentils and walnut salad and the celery root salad. I also ordered one piece of eggplant inari with brown rice.
9:30 pm: Of course, since I was in the area and my friend had never been to ICE PAN... We just HAD to go! I ordered the coffee flavor with soy milk, chocolate chips, almonds, and no sugar added coconut shavings. It was a nice cap to the evening and I was so pumped for the SUPER MISSION the next day!
*I had 4 liters of Fiji water today.

thank you
Jenna, thank you for sharing your online food journal! I happened to stumble upon your blog last week and I'm so glad I did! It really gave me some great ideas.
You seem like a truly inspirational and movitating person, and I am so impressed with all you have accomplished at such a young age. If I'm ever in southern Cal I'll have to check out a Mission. I love working out outdoors too and they sound really fun. I also need to check out Ice Pan and Artic Zero--too bad we don't have them up here in Sac, our Whole Foods doesn't carry Artic Zero. I've been keeping a food journal too, maybe I should try online because you're right, there's something to be said for accountabilty! Oh, also I enjoyed seeing how you incorporate the Isagenix shakes into your diet, I use them too in a similar way that you do (for breakfast or as a recovery drink/protein supplement. Thanks again! |

Yes, thank you!
| Thank you for all of these posts. I'm sure that some nights you were very tired, but still managed to put these together. I really learned much and appreciate all of the valuable information you've provided to us on this blog. |
