WHAT'S ON MY iPOD???
Music is my LIFE and I hardly do anything without it! I have so much fun putting an eclectic playlist together for my SPIN classes and my own workouts. I organize each song based on the tempo and beat so that the playlist can generate a crazy fat burning pace. Here's what's on my most recent playlist from last Friday's SPIN class at Sports Club LA:
1. One More Drink by Ludacris (feat. T-Pain) --> This song set was perfect for setting the tone for the class while we get our shoes on. I always teach a fun class with friendly energy.
2. Get Up Offa That Thing by James Brown --> This was timed perfectly because I knew people would be on their bikes by now and getting warmed up.
3. Universal Mind Control (UMC) by Common --> I freaking love this song! We were already flying our legs thanks to James Brown but this song pushed us even harder.
4. Decode by Paramore --> A killer song for intervals.
5. Just Dance by Lady GaGa & Colby O'Donis --> Even though she's singing about complete intoxication and not being able to see straight, remember the name of the club, or find her keys (haha) it's somehow a ROCKING workout song. I like to use this song for jumps.
6. She Wants to Move by N.E.R.D. --> This is perfect for intervals and "rolling hills".
7. Everlong by Foo Fighters --> I like to use this song for a steady, quick pace while we do pushups on the handlebars (yes, I work the WHOLE body in my SPIN class!).
8. Go Girl by Ciara (featuring T-Pain) --> I blasted this song for one of our hills, so sexy and hardcore at the same time!
9. Fuego by Pitbull --> We did one of my "secret moves" for most of this song. My lips are sealed. It's too good to broadcast! If you want to experience one of the most intense calorie blasting exercises on a SPIN bike you MUST take my class!
10. I Don't Care by Fall Out Boy --> This track ROCKS for a fast hill song!
11. Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon --> Hands down one of my favorite songs of all time! This was perfect for an interval set. Most people had their eyes closed and were getting so into it!
12. Sandstorm by Darude --> Talk about serious endorphin explosion! This song has a wicked build up and intense zenith! Everyone was drenched already but by the end of this song they were hoping it was the last one! Haha!
13. B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad) by Outkast --> So this was the last stretch home. Constant speed and determination! Everything was mental at this point!
14. Mrs. Officer by Lil Wayne & Bobby Valentino --> This was our cool down song. Very chill but fun at the same time. It makes you want to dance on the bike!
15. Closer by Goapele --> An amazing song that fuels so many different moods and emotions. It was ideal for our stretching.
