Day 20 of my online food and exercise journal!!!
I only worked out a little bit today. I trained Agent Paige Harrison at the Santa Monica stairs and did a few sets of stairs with her but mostly made her run up and down the stairs while I stretched my calves on the curb (they are soooo sore from jumping rope and climbing stairs all weekend!). She got a killer workout and it was fun for me to see her be extra challenged (she's one of my most conditioned Agents!).
9:00 am: I ate an Isagenix IsaLean® Bar (the chocolate and peanut honey dipped flavor!) and a granny smith apple as I drove to train a client in Beverly Hills.
11:00 am: My one-on-one session with Agent Paige began at the Santa Monica stairs and I got my heart rate up a bit but focused mostly on getting her to sweat like she never has before in her life! I kicked her butt and she loved the workout.
12 noon: I met my mom and her best friend at Le Pain Quotidien on San Vicente for a light lunch (because I had a business/lunch meeting at 3 pm). I ordered scrambled egg whites with a piece of whole wheat bread, and a cup of their soup of the day: vegan corn chowder (so yummy and light!). For a warm and comforting beverage, I ordered a decaf soy cafe au lait and added liquid stevia that I always carry in my purse.
3:00 pm: My business/lunch meeting was at CHEEBO on Sunset (another one of my favorite places in LA). I love that they bake their own potato chips right there on the spot! They always bring those to the table and so we both had some of those. I ordered the CHEEBO MIXED GREENS salad (with apple slices, walnuts, currants, and goat cheese dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette) and a cup of their vegan lentils soup on the side. DELICIOUS! I LOVE the ambience and energy in this place. It's so ORANGE!!!
7:00 pm: Once I was settled at home after training a client I had 5 sesame tofu sticks from Whole Foods, the small container of the celery root salad from M CAFE that I bought yesterday, and a side of wild rice with chopped veggies mixed in.
9:00 pm: I knew last night that I wouldn't be able to make it over to ICE PAN today, so I got some to go! I had the green tea and banana flavors in my freezer so I had a few bites of both. This is day 6 in a row of devouring ICE PAN! My mom is in town visiting me so I introduced it to her. She is HOOKED! She can't wait to actually go there and experience Andy's ice cream craftery!!!
*I had 3 liters of Fiji water today.

The Amazing Jenna
| Tis' true. I had the opportunity to train one-on-one with Jenna and she really did make me work. I must confess that I have a bit of history in fitness. I've taught, I've taken a number of different classes and I've worked with personal trainers. Jenna's methods stand out because she pushed me to a point where I honestly thought I couldn't do anymore. But, I did, and then some more on top of that! The best part is when I woke up this morning. I expected to be sore. I wasn't. Instead, I felt like a superhero. I can't wait for today's mission! |

SUPERHERO!
| You are honestly BIONIC! I had sooo much fun training you! I am so excited to climb 26.2 (or 30 if you're up for it) sets of stairs on the 31st! Although, I'm thinking about having it on the 1st because it'll be less crowded. I know it's SUPER BOWL Sunday, but if we start at 8 we should be done in time for kick off! |
