Day 9 of my online food and exercise journal!!!
Aaaahhh, Friday... When most people see Friday as an end to their week, I see it as one of the most intense days of mine! I train 2-3 clients, kick ass in Mission Possible™ and then go straight to the Sports Club LA to make everyone sweat in my Spin class. Lots of rushing around (but I love every second of all that I do!).
6:30 am: I knew that I would be eating again in a couple hours so I picked a light breakfast to get me started on my day before I trained my 7 am client. I grabbed my number one favorite bar: the Amazing Grass Chocolate Whole Food Energy Bar. This was the one that I picked after taste testing a bunch of different bars from Whole Foods. There are just too many to think about so I wanted to simplify it for you! I sent the company an email telling them how much I loved their bars and that I blogged about them. They are sending me a box to say thank you! Woo hoo!
8:45 am: I didn't have time to stop at home before Mission Possible™ like I had planned so I made a quick stop at Whole Foods to get a light snack before I worked out a half hour later. I grabbed an iced coffee and container of Zen Bakery Blueberry Fiber Cakes and ate one (each mini muffin is only 80 calories and has 13 grams of fiber!). I also ate a 100 calorie bag of the WONDERFUL™ Pistachios that I had in my gym bag.

9:15 am: Mission Possible™ at the Santa Monica stairs began and I was getting everyone prepped for the SUPER MISSION™ on January 31st (26.2 flights of stairs!). We did 9 flights of stairs, lots of core work, deep stretching, and even savasana at the the very end. Savasana (a.k.a. corpse pose in yoga) is a relaxing posture intended to rejuvenate one's body, mind and spirit. It was a solid ending to the Mission™.
11:15 am: I had time to come home and make my signature Isagenix shake and ENJOY it peacefully before I had to leave at 11:30 to teach Spinning at the Sports Club LA. I normally use water to make my shakes but I recently started to use unsweetened vanilla flavored almond milk instead. Here's my recipe: two scoops of the Isagenix vanilla protein powder, 8 oz. of water or almond milk, a tray of ice cubes, two tablespoons of bee pollen, about 5 dashes of cinnamon, 4 packets of stevia, 4 oz. of Mona Vie juice, and two tablespoons of whole flaxseeds.
12 noon: I taught, yet another, hardcore SPIN class! I had a great turnout and everyone was loving the music and energy. We were all drenched once the class was over and I did some extra stretching for about 15 minutes. I felt so energized and relaxed at the same time.
2 pm: I was hungry for something warm so I made scrambled egg whites with fresh salsa and had a piece of Ezekiel bread/toast (80 calories, 4 grams of fiber). I added a teaspoon of whipped Earth Balance. I am ALWAYS super hungry after a Spin class so (with a cup of herbal tea) I also enjoyed 4 sugar free free "glazed" donut holes from Nutrilicious Natural Bakery from Whole Foods. Each one has 40 calories, only 2 grams of fat, and 6 grams of carbohydrates. On the package, they list the benefits of these yummy donut holes: Great Taste!, Good For You!, Egg Free, Dairy Free, No Hydrogenated Oils, Delicious, Vegan, All Natural, Cholesterol Free... Not bad! And, yes, they are delicious!
